Frequently Asked Questions

What do I get with a Premium subscription?

Premium unlocks two benefits: (1) an ad-free experience, and (2) high-quality French pronunciation powered by Google Cloud TTS. All learning content (vocabulary, verb conjugation, grammar, idioms, sentence structures, and Q&A) is available on the free plan as well.

How do I restore my subscription?

Go to the Subscription screen in the app and tap "Restore Purchases". Your premium access will be restored if you have an active subscription linked to your Apple ID or Google Play account.

How do I cancel my subscription?

Subscriptions are managed through your Apple ID or Google Play account, not inside the app. On iOS, open Settings → your name → Subscriptions. On Android, open the Google Play Store → Menu → Subscriptions. You will continue to have premium access until the end of the current billing period.

What happens to downloaded audio after my subscription ends?

Premium audio files become inactive after your subscription expires. The app automatically falls back to on-device text-to-speech, so all learning features continue to work.

Does the app work offline?

Most learning features work offline once the app has loaded the necessary content. An internet connection is required for initial data sync, downloading premium audio, and subscription management.

Is my learning progress backed up?

Yes. Your progress is associated with an anonymous user ID and stored on our servers via Firebase. This means your progress persists even if you clear the app cache. Note that the anonymous ID is tied to the installation, so uninstalling the app may disconnect you from your progress.

What French levels does the app cover?

The app covers vocabulary and grammar from beginner to intermediate levels, including verb conjugation across major tenses, commonly used idioms, and sentence structures for real-world communication.

I see ads too often. What can I do?

The free plan shows an interstitial ad roughly every two completed learning sessions. Subscribing to Premium removes all ads.
