PrépaGo French ("we", "our", or "the app") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding your data.
1. Information We Collect
1.1 Anonymous User Identifier
The app uses Firebase Authentication in anonymous mode to generate an anonymous user ID on first launch. This ID is used to associate your learning progress and subscription status with your device. It cannot be used to identify you personally. We do not ask for, collect, or store your name, email address, phone number, or any other personal information.
1.2 Learning Progress
Learning progress (categories studied, quiz results, star ratings) is stored in Firebase Firestore, linked only to the anonymous user ID described above. This data is not associated with any personal identifier.
1.3 Device and Diagnostic Information
We may collect device information such as OS version, app version, and crash logs for the purpose of maintaining app stability and improving the app.
1.4 In-App Purchases
Subscription purchases are processed by Apple or Google through the App Store or Google Play. We receive receipt data to verify your purchase and unlock premium features. Payment details (credit card numbers, etc.) are handled entirely by Apple or Google and are never received by us. Please refer to Apple's Privacy Policy or Google's Privacy Policy for details.
1.5 Advertising (Free Plan Only)
For users on the free plan, the app displays ads delivered by Google AdMob. AdMob may collect advertising identifiers (IDFA on iOS, AAID on Android) and related information to optimize ad delivery. See Google's Privacy Policy for details. Premium subscribers do not see ads.
2. How We Use the Information
- To save and restore your learning progress across sessions.
- To manage subscription status and provide access to premium audio content.
- To deliver advertising on the free plan.
- To improve app quality and fix bugs.
- To respond to violations of our Terms of Use.
3. Third-Party Services
The app uses the following third-party services. Each provider handles data in accordance with their own privacy policy.
- Google Firebase — Authentication, Firestore, Storage, and Cloud Functions for anonymous user management, progress storage, and premium audio delivery.
- Google AdMob — ad delivery on the free plan.
- Apple App Store / Google Play — payment processing and subscription management.
4. Data Retention and Deletion
Uninstalling the app removes all locally cached data from your device. Data stored on our servers (anonymous user ID and associated learning progress) remains unless deletion is requested. To request deletion of your server-side data, please contact us at support@prepago-study.com.
5. Children's Privacy
The app is a general-audience French learning app. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Minors should use the app with the consent of a parent or guardian.
6. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
